Lead Data Analyst Role

This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity to drive data-informed decision-making across the business and shape strategy, optimize performance, and make a meaningful impact.

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled Lead Data Analyst to collaborate with senior management and deliver and maintain reporting across key business functions. The successful candidate will gather and analyse reporting requirements to support strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making.

The role involves supporting founders with financial budgeting and forecasting models, building and maintaining data pipelines, including scripts, queries, and ETL flows to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

The Lead Data Analyst will design and implement scalable data architecture and processes for collection, cleansing, storage, and transformation, leading the development and maintenance of a centralised data warehouse aligned with evolving business needs.

The successful candidate will deliver timely, accurate ad-hoc reports and insights to support operational and strategic goals, presenting analytical findings through clear reports, presentations, and visualisations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyse reporting requirements to support strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
  • SUPPORT FOUNDERS WITH FINANCIAL BUDGETING AND FORECASTING MODELS.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN DATA PIPELINES, INCLUDING SCRIPTS, QUERIES, AND ETL FLOWS TO ENSURE DATA ACCURACY AND INTEGRITY.
  • DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT SCALABLE DATA ARCHITECTURE AND PROCESSES FOR COLLECTION, CLEANSING, STORAGE, AND TRANSFORMATION.
  • DELIVER TIMELY, ACCURATE AD-HOC REPORTS AND INSIGHTS TO SUPPORT OPERATIONAL AND STRATEGIC GOALS.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in corporate, consulting, or startup environments (bonus if you've worked in e-commerce).
  • Critical and strategic thinker, able to cut through complexity, synthesise large datasets, and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Highly proficient in Power BI, SQL (complex queries, database setup & mapping), and Google Sheets/Excel (advanced reporting).
  • HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH CLOUD-BASED DATA WAREHOUSES SUCH AS GOOGLE BIGQUERY, AWS, OR AZURE.
  • Data cleansing, integrating multiple datasets, and building reliable, structured data systems.
  • COMMERCIALLY MINDDED AND THRIVE IN FAST-PACED, HIGH-GROWTH ENVIRONMENTS WHERE PRIORITIES CAN SHIFT QUICKLY.
  • PROCESS DRIVEN, WITH A KNACK FOR CLEAR DOCUMENTATION AND TRAINING TO SUPPORT SCALABLE WORKFLOWS.
