Senior Fund Accountant

About the Role

As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all fund accounting activities. You will work closely with the Managing Partners to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights that drive informed investment decisions.

  • Manage cash, position, and market value reconciliations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies on reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Calculate fund pricing and review corporate actions.
  • Review profit and loss reports for reasonableness and prepare income and expense accruals.
  • Prepare fund trial balance and allocate profits to fund investors.
  • Liaise with internal services departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues.
  • Elevate fund accounting concerns and aged items to the Fund Accounting Manager.
  • Respond to client inquiries efficiently.
  • Contribute to audits by preparing fund financial statements.
  • Guide and mentor junior accountants in their development.
Requirements

We seek a highly skilled candidate with:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
  • No less than 5 years of experience in fund accounting or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to convert numbers into actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail.
