Real Estate Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and providing valuable financial insights to inform business decisions.

This position involves managing day-to-day accounting functions for real estate properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Utilizing industry-leading software to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting tasks for real estate properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Employ advanced accounting software to oversee property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts using QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in Real Estate Accounting
  • Extensive hands-on experience with advanced accounting software
  • Strong QuickBooks Online skills with a proven track record of accurate bookkeeping.
  • In-depth understanding of real estate financial workflows, including rent collection, owner payouts, and property expense tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
