Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials and components to support business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates with Value Stream Leaders, Program Managers, and Central Function teams to track and ensure delivery of all components based on identified need dates.
  • Tracks and confirms material and component delivery dates from suppliers ahead of promised dates to support Schedule-Go and Production Release Window process among others.
  • Expedites, aligns, and negotiates material and component delivery dates to support operations need dates, including approval of early shipment, deferring deliveries, and canceling orders when necessary.
  • Communicates potential risks at the earliest possible time and recommends mitigating activities to support alignment to material need date.
  • Assesses and resolves issues such as but not limited to grievances, action requests, invoices, and stock/delivery mismatches, and defer and cancellation messages.
  • Manages assigned suppliers and third-party material management suppliers to align with requirements of the business.
  • Leverages Core tools and other methods to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitates discussions with Seating sites and various stakeholders on process improvements required.
  • Represents Central Function in WAR, Schedule-Go, PRW, and other relevant collaborative alignment meetings with other functions to support Operations build schedule and Product Quality.
  • Consolidates and reports out Central Function KPIs.
