Accountant Role Overview

The primary duties of this role include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. This is a remote position that requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sales Reporting and Analysis: Perform sales reporting and analysis to ensure accurate financial data.">
• Record and Monitor Cash Collections: Record and monitor cash collections to maintain accurate financial records.">
• Perform Account Reconciliations and Analysis: Perform account reconciliations and analysis to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.">
• Work with the Team on Implementing and Managing Workflows and Closing Process: Collaborate with the team to implement and manage workflows and the closing process.">
• Prepare Clear and Concise Workpapers and Analysis: Prepare clear and concise workpapers and analysis to communicate financial data effectively.">
• Report on Financial Data and Communicate it in a Useful and Understandable Manner: Report on financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner to stakeholders.">
• Prepare Journal Entries, Schedules, and Matrices: Prepare journal entries, schedules, and matrices to ensure accurate financial records.">
• Execute Journal Entries and Month-End Close with Little Supervision: Execute journal entries and month-end close with little supervision to ensure timely and accurate financial records.">
• Perform Ad Hoc Tasks and Lead Special Projects: Perform ad hoc tasks and lead special projects as required.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• Strong Organizational, Written and Verbal Communication Skills">
• 3+ Years of Recent and Relevant Accounting Experience">
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics">
• Advanced Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Procedures">
• Advanced Computer Skills and Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook), as well as QuickBooks and Other Finance & Accounting Related Software">
• Be Detailed, Flexible, and Organized">
• Seize Opportunities to Produce Results without Direct Supervision">
