Financial Associate Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Associate to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record keeping and management of A/R, A/P, and invoicing.
  • Assist in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Documentation of internal processes and development of controls and improvements.
  • Communication with clients to obtain documentation and information, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
  • Confidentiality and professional communication at all times while working with the team, clients, vendors, and other third parties.
  • Administrative tasks as required to assist the firm or other members of the team.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Accounting/Finance/Business/Bookkeeping or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with full cycle bookkeeping.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and software (QuickBooks Online, Receipt Bank, Yardi).
  • Familiarity with CRA requirements and filings.
  • Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software is preferred.
  • Strong people skills and team-player mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable and able to work in changing environments.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and eager to take on responsibilities and ownership of work.
  • Continuous learning and skills improvement mentality.
  • Deliver on commitments and set clear objectives and goals.
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience working on a graveyard shift is a must.
