Job Summary:

  • Effectively operate and implement credit risk management measures in the Credit Support Unit. Scope of work covers accounts from Branch Lending Units and Branches.

Role Exposure:

  • Supervise and review loan proposals from Lending Units using various credit tools/information/documents, ensuring an appropriate credit risk assessment in determining borrower creditworthiness.
  • Guarantee quality and timely completion of account renewals, borrower evaluations, and credit requests.
  • Assess credit risk ratings and classifications, demonstrating strict compliance with bank policies.
  • Perform effective portfolio management, recognizing issues that require immediate attention or escalation, and initiate remedial efforts for non-performing loans.
  • Ensure team performance against set Key Result Areas (KRAs).
  • Coordinate with Human Resource partners to ensure talent availability and well-thought-out career development programs.
  • Comply with the bank's Business Continuity Program.
  • Handle audit-related exercises in coordination with other business units.
  • Partner with Credit Administration Department, Credit Control and Documentation Division, and other relevant units to ensure proposal approvals, loan documentation, and collateral/policy deviations are mitigated.
  • Perform administrative duties, overall supervision of Credit personnel, and other related functions.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any business-related courses, preferably Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • At least 5 years' experience in credit, focusing on commercial and corporate loans.
  • People Manager experience required.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to meet deadlines necessary.
