The Portfolio Analytics Department Head leads the implementation of the Basel Framework and BSP directives that are relevant to sound risk management monitoring and compliance with capital requirements. He/she is also tasked to implement the Bank's Model Risk Management Framework.

How will you contribute:

  • Responsible for the following functional duties; Strategizing the appropriate coverage, theme, evaluation and monitoring under the Bank's independent credit review process; Ensuring the accurate interpretation and timely generation of reports relevant to regulatory requirements affecting the Bank's over-all capital position
  • Leads the Bank's implementation of the Model Risk Management Framework covering Risk Management models.
  • Providing timely feedback or escalation regarding developments on the ground as well as critical inputs regarding departmental strategies and goals.
  • Providing leadership support and supervision on the activities and projects to ensure all service quality standards and deliverables are met.
  • Provides recommendations to the CSO on the establishment or modification of internal triggers to safeguard the Bank from any impending breach on regulatory requirements.
  • Identification of efficiencies and synergies across the functions performed by the Portfolio Analytics Department.
  • Analyzes results derived by the supervised functions in Portfolio Analytics Department with a view to determining trends that may be vital to risk management decision-making; Examining the completeness of metrics or indicators that impact the Bank's capital position or portfolio quality; and verifying the soundness of the conclusions across the various assessments generated by the Portfolio Analytics Department.
  • Leads various teams in the Bank in developing or updating the following; Risk Governance Framework, Stress Testing Framework, and any other Framework required by the BSP that is within the scope of the Portfolio Analytics Department
  • Provides support for advocacies promoted by the Bank and performs other functions as may be required in support of SFD's Sustainable Asset Management and Sustainable Lending teams.

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably a major in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or Financial Management
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the internal guidelines and procedures to be able to lead in the area capital adequacy, credit monitoring, and model validation requirements
  • Proficient knowledge of general policies governing capital adequacy, model validation, credit accommodations and assets acquired, issued by the Bank and by regulatory agencies
  • With more than eight (8) years industry experience in banking operations specifically in areas involving credit management, capital adequacy monitoring, or model validation process
  • Knowledge of banking practices as well as regulatory policies, systems and procedures
