Job Title

An exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Lines Department as a specialist in insurance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as a key team member, educating current clients and attracting new ones. They will provide proposals for agency producers, quote policies with top-rated carriers, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and markets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a key team member in the Commercial Lines Department.
  • Providing proposals for agency producers.
  • Quoting policies with top-rated carriers in the industry.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and markets.
  • Focus on client retention and sales growth by cross-selling and expanding existing accounts.
  • Service existing clients in person, by email, or via telephone by preparing renewals, remarketing accounts, processing claims, and making policy changes.
  • Quote and issue new policies.
  • COI - Certificates of Insurance
  • EOP - Evidence of property insurance
  • Evidence of homeowners insurance for Mortgage companies Auto ID's
  • Pull the remarketing logs
  • Enter the renewal premiums into remarket logs
RequirementsInsurance Knowledge & Experience

We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance policies, coverages, and products.
  • Familiarity with the operations of an Independent Insurance Agency.
  • Knowledge of quoting policies with major carriers.
Customer Service & Communication Skills

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have experience in handling customer inquiries, policy changes, and claims assistance.

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Experience handling customer inquiries, policy changes, and claims assistance.
  • Ability to professionally manage and respond to phone calls and emails.
  • Strong listening skills and ability to handle objections or concerns effectively.
Sales & Upselling Abilities

We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling policies and communicate persuasively to offer additional products where appropriate.

  • Ability to recognize opportunities for cross-selling or upselling policies.

Administrative & Process-Oriented Skills

The successful candidate will have experience in managing COIs, EOPs, and Homeowners Insurance documentation, as well as proficiency in processing claims, renewals, and policy modifications.

  • Ability to manage Certificates of Insurance (COI), Evidence of Property Insurance (EOP), and Homeowners Insurance documentation.
  • Experience with remarketing logs and tracking renewals.
  • Proficiency in processing claims, renewals, and policy modifications.
Technical & System Proficiency

Proficiency in office software and familiarity with quoting platforms are required.

  • Experience with agency management systems.
  • Proficiency in office software.
