Job Summary

The role of Loans Officer is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of post booking functions. This involves supervising Loans Processors, implementing procedures, and maintaining internal control and procedural guidelines set by bank manuals.

Key responsibilities include evaluating daily transactions for accurate post booking servicing, ensuring timely preparation and sending of Statements of Account, payment plans, and amortization schedules, as well as certifications of commercial loan accounts.

Additionally, the Loans Officer ensures proper safekeeping, recording, and monitoring of cashier's checks, post-dated checks, promissory notes, and disclosure statements within a fireproof vault.

The position also entails compliance with dual custody in handling keys and combination records, including turnovers during leave availments.

Effective customer service and process improvement are also key aspects of this role, involving continuous improvements through conceptualizing new processes and systems, engaging personnel to suggest ways of doing things, and participating in user acceptance testing.

Supervision of Loans Processors includes conducting meetings to inform personnel on current issues, discussing measures for productivity improvement, training staff to become flexible and multi-skilled, and assisting in career planning through performance monitoring and appraisal.
