At our company, we're looking for a skilled engineer to maintain the stability and performance of our systems. As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be responsible for ensuring that our client's systems are always available, secure, and running smoothly.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and maintain automated systems and tools to ensure the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure.

You will also be responsible for identifying system bottlenecks and implementing best practices to prevent downtime and ensure high availability. Additionally, you will create automation scripts, develop and manage monitoring systems, and set up alerts to proactively address issues.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems
  • Work closely with the development team to design and implement automated systems and tools

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including experience with database design, performance tuning, and advanced querying techniques
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like AWS CDK
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or SigNoz
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or Typescript
  • Proven ability to design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to debug complex issues in a distributed system and identify root causes
