Secure Infrastructure Manager

This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to maintain and secure hybrid infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication between various divisions within our organization. As a key member of the corporate tech operations team, you will be responsible for patching, securing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining cloud, virtualization, storage, and server infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include designing, installing, and configuring new systems and equipment while collaborating with other highly skilled infrastructure, network, and security specialists. Projects will vary depending on business needs, focusing on security, policies, procedures, documentation, and being an approachable team player is essential.

As a fast-paced and fluid environment, responsiveness and ability to manage varying workloads while maintaining high standards are crucial. Occasionally, there may be planned and unplanned out-of-hours work, requiring flexibility. This role offers opportunities to work in a small and dynamic global team, primarily based in the UK but also other regions, with exposure to new technologies and methods for ensuring reliable and secure IT operations.

• Ensure IT infrastructure services function according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Maintain and monitor physical and virtual network/server/cloud infrastructure environments with a strong focus on security
• Install and test new solutions and enhancements to existing solutions in both test and production environments
• Diagnose and resolve issues in accordance with published SLAs and in a customer-focused manner
• Manage and escalate faults, failures, and change requests to relevant parties, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
• Act as an escalation point for fault resolution for service desk engineers and provide on-call 24/7 support as required
• Engage in project and capacity planning, implementation, and rollout providing expert advice as necessary
• Maintain up-to-date technical skills to perform the role in a dynamic agile business

• Previous experience working in a similar technical IT role, preferably as a TechOps Engineer or equivalent
• Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment with 3rd line corporate enterprise cloud & hybrid infrastructure experience
• Solid experience with varied aspects of corporate hybrid enterprise IT infrastructure & networking – good TCP/IP networking & routing knowledge
• Proven skillset including Server 2012 to 2022, DHCP, DNS, vSphere, MS Azure/AD/Entra, M365, Group Policy, Firewalling
• Datacentre server hardware support, build, and configuration expertise
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a larger team
• Broad ranging troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity and acceptance of ITIL standards and associated change management disciplines
• Confident in applying security hardening to various infrastructure components
