Logistics Coordinator Role

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining schedules for linehaul operations. This involves assigning routes and vehicles based on various factors such as delivery lead time, vehicle capacity/truck productivity, and driver availability.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine the most efficient routes for transporting goods from one location to another.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and other personnel to ensure smooth execution of scheduled routes and address any issues or delays that arise.
  • Monitor and analyze route performance data to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments to provide updates on schedule changes, delays, or other relevant information.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to improve the effectiveness of linehaul scheduling processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in transportation logistics, with a focus on linehaul operations.
  • Strong understanding of transportation management systems or any data dashboards.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with internal teams, truckers, and drivers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
