Job Summary:

Accounting Operations Specialist

We are seeking an Accounting Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the monthly close, financial reporting, and technical accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time position that requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent, and minimum 3 years' experience in public accounting and/or industry experience.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
  • Perform trend analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing explanations for fluctuations
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
  • Support annual financial statement and statutory audits, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, FinOps, Tax, Legal, IT, HR, Payments, and Facilities
  • Assist in implementing new accounting policies and maintaining proper documentation
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting requests and projects as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting and/or industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany, equity, and financial reporting
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP system preferred
