Financial Operations Specialist

Are you a skilled Accounting professional looking to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Executive to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Chairman's private interests and investments, working closely with the Accounting Manager based in Johor Bahru. Your strong technical expertise in accounting and proactive approach to ensuring accurate financial operations, compliance, and reporting across a diverse investment portfolio will be invaluable to us.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records of investment portfolios and overseeing all related accounting entries, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the family office and related entities, and ensuring timely and accurate consolidation of accounts, including investment vehicles, trusts, and holding companies.
You will also process and monitor payments, receipts, and intercompany transactions, reconcile bank accounts and investment accounts, and liaise with Fund Managers, Bankers and System Administrators to resolve discrepancies.
Investment & Asset AdministrationYou will track and record investment activities, including equities, real estate, private equity, and alternative assets, maintain accurate records of asset valuations, income, and distributions, and assist with due diligence and documentation for new investments.
Process Improvement & ControlsYou will identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and risk mitigation, support the development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies, and provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to management and principals.
What You BringTo succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a family office, private wealth, or investment environment. You should be proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, have high attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information, and possess good spoken and written English and interpersonal skills.
