The Leasing Director oversees leasing operations for our property portfolio. They play a key role in achieving optimal occupancy levels and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lease Acquisition:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants for vacant units.
    • Manage online listings, respond promptly to inquiries, and conduct virtual or in-person property tours.
    • Follow up with prospective tenants to move them through the leasing pipeline.
  • Tenant Screening & Application Processing:
    • Process rental applications, including background checks, credit checks, employment verification, and rental history.
    • Ensure screening processes comply with fair housing laws and company policies.
  • Lease Administration:
    • Prepare, negotiate, and execute lease agreements with high accuracy.
    • Proactively manage lease renewals, securing renewals from current residents.
  • Reporting & Market Analysis:
    • Maintain accurate records of leasing activity in property management software.
    • Prepare regular reports on leasing traffic, occupancy rates, and market trends.
    • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive rental rates align with market conditions.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build strong relationships with prospective and current tenants.
    • Address questions and concerns from prospective tenants professionally and promptly.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • 2-3+ years of experience as a Leasing Agent, Leasing Manager, or similar property management role.
    • Strong understanding of leasing principles and fair housing regulations.
    • Proven sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting leasing targets.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
