Water Resources Specialist

Job Overview:

The Water Resources Specialist will be responsible for the remote monitoring, operation and optimization of wastewater treatment systems to achieve required output quality and quantity. This role requires identifying opportunities to maximize system efficiency in real-time and taking corrective action as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remote monitoring, operation and optimization of wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential process improvements and implement changes to increase system efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Perform real-time alarm management, including monitoring, analysis and resolution of issues.
  • Communicate effectively with field operations personnel to maintain optimal wastewater treatment performance.
  • Document all necessary activities related to wastewater treatment system operation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review and provide feedback on design plans for new and existing wastewater treatment systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry developments and apply best practices to optimize system performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment system operation and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of water resources management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
