Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

About the Role:

  • This role involves providing financial operations support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transaction Processing: Record day-to-day financial transactions, post entries and reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k and bank accounts at the end of each month.
  2. Accounts Management: Process accounts receivable and payable, handle monthly payroll using accounting software and monitor financial transactions.
  3. Financial Reporting: Compile, analyze and report financial data, create periodic reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements etc. and present data to management.
  4. Audit and Compliance: Perform audits and resolve discrepancies, keep informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, use analytical skills to make informed business decisions.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA) or related field, knowledge of bookkeeping software, experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or MYOB.
  2. Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to prepare review and understand a financial statement, attention to detail.
  3. Experience: At least one year of US Payroll experience, working remotely as an accountant.

Working Conditions:

  • Available to work initially for 15-20 hours a week following EST Timezone (or depending on business needs).
