Job Summary

As a Senior SOC Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring and responding to security events. Your responsibilities will include monitoring SIEM, EDR, and other security tools for detection and identification of security events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor security systems to identify potential threats and take appropriate action
  • Document security investigations in a clear and consistent manner
  • Develop new procedures for handling security alerts
  • Tune existing processes to improve efficiency
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies
Security Event Response:
  • Investigate, contain, and resolve security anomalies and events
  • Perform threat attribution
  • Identification of likely threat vector for security events and incidents
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate effectively
  • Experience working with multiple security solutions
  • Technical knowledge of Networking, Operating Systems, and enterprise integrations
  • Firm understanding of the security incident lifecycle
  • Understanding of TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of IDS / IPS rules
  • Basic knowledge of forensic methodologies and best practices
  • Proactive threat hunting skills
  • Basic knowledge of malware analysis
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Understanding of packet analysis and software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Understanding of Advanced Persistent Threats
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, and API programming
  • Understanding of VERIS and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks
