Job Title: Remote Healthcare Support Specialist

Hometown VA is seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support healthcare professionals and businesses with various administrative tasks.

This remote position is ideal for a professional with excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for helping healthcare providers deliver better patient care by managing their administrative operations.

  • Email & Calendar Management: Organize and schedule emails, appointments, and patient-related calendar tasks for healthcare clients.
  • Customer Support: Handle patient inquiries and provide support via phone, email, or chat platforms.
  • File Organization: Organize and maintain digital records and files.
  • Healthcare System Management: Input and manage data using EMR/EHR systems and other healthcare software tools.
  • Billing Support: Help monitor billing, follow up on claims, and manage insurance verifications.
  • Reports & Presentations: Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and presentations when required.
  • Meeting Coordination: Manage virtual communications and set up meetings effectively.
  • Marketing Tasks: Provide basic support for social media and marketing initiatives.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Ensure confidentiality and follow all HIPAA compliance guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Virtual Assistant or similar administrative role.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient in using software and tech tools; quick to adapt to new technologies.
  • Discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Willingness to work night shifts (9 PM – 6 AM PH time / 8 AM – 5 AM Chicago time).
