Management Trainee Position

Job Description:

The Management Trainee is responsible for the creation of higher-level expertise and mastery of shift management to achieve store operations, shift sales, and profit targets. This position requires the ability to continuously improve productivity levels of service crews.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve shift sales targets.
  • Address customer feedback and complaints during the shift, ensuring top-tier customer service.
  • Approve or disapprove leave applications during the shift in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager.
  • Assist the Store Manager in community relations activities.
  • Clarify tasks, activities, and schedules during the shift.
  • Ensure completeness of government permits and store requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with cash control, employee discipline, and all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure crew productivity by following crew schedules and monitoring man-hours usage.
  • Ensure safety and security program effectiveness, implement standard procedures, and document feedback.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reports.
  • Execute cleaning activities, including opening and closing.
  • Implement assigned programs and ensure standards compliance during shifts.
  • Implement cost management activities, standards, and procedures during shifts.
  • Implement customer survey interactions during shifts.
  • Implement feedback and suggestion systems from sales building to evaluation during shifts.
  • Implement manpower schedules.
  • Implement proper store merchandising.
  • Implement sales programs during shifts.
  • Implement scheduled preventive maintenance and provide feedback on supplier services.
  • Implement speed of service programs, turnaround times, table turnover during peak hours, and attention to pending orders.
  • Lead service crews for highest product quality and supplies availability.
  • Maintain office organization and orderliness during shifts.
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels during shifts and minimize usage.
  • Manage and implement crisis prevention programs and processes during shifts.
  • Manage overall floor control and shift operations.
  • Monitor crew performance during shifts.
  • Motivate and boost crew morale to achieve shift objectives.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
  • Supervise opening and closing procedures.
  • Track repairs, maintenance, and utilities costs during shifts, recommend measures, and ensure proper documentation and guidelines implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • College graduate preferably in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business related course, Behavioral Science, and Industrial Engineering courses.
  • 2-3 years supervisory function in a restaurant or quick service restaurant.
