Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to assist in the development and review of construction contracts.

This is a mid-senior level, full-time position in the administrative function of construction and real estate industries.

  • Draft, review, and/or redline construction contracts related to power transmission, distribution & substation, telecommunications, and civil infrastructure industries in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Identify issues and follow established protocols related to construction contract terms.
  • Prepare memos to evaluate contract risks.
  • Provide feedback regarding and respond to customers' responses to contract changes.
  • Be available for reviews with short deadlines.
  • Work with in-house attorneys to prepare summaries and contract forms as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have 5+ years of strong experience advising companies on complex construction law issues.

  • Hold a degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law.
  • Have some familiarity with the U.S. legal system.
  • Experience working in a multi-national environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Advanced decision-making, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Team player with a positive attitude who enjoys collaboration.
  • Ability to manage a large workload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong service mentality and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the company and manage others as needed.
