Expert Legal Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to provide expert legal support to our regional legal team on a project or fixed-term basis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and timely legal advice to internal teams on a range of matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and legal requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in drafting regulatory reporting obligations and support in the development and/or implementation of corporate governance frameworks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and resolve legal issues.
  • Conduct legal research on emerging issues, providing clear and concise recommendations to senior management.
  • Provide legal expertise for special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, or regulatory filings, as may be required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in law (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in law.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a legal role, preferably within a corporate or law firm setting. Experience in commercial, corporate, regulatory compliance, or technology law is preferred.
  • Strong background in contract drafting and management is preferred. Proficiency in legal research and AI tools will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
