Job Opportunity: Insurance Benefit Verification Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of insurance verification processes. Your responsibility will be to verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits, facilitating smooth admissions, billing, and claims processes.

This is a remote work opportunity that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using various software tools. You will work closely with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure seamless operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Verifying patient insurance benefits by contacting insurance companies via phone or portals.
  • Gathering detailed information on covered services, copays, deductibles, and prior authorization requirements.
  • Accurately documenting all benefit details in electronic health records or billing systems.

Additionally, you will be responsible for submitting authorization requests, tracking authorization expiry and renewals, and coordinating with clinical staff. Strong knowledge of insurance terminology and benefit structures is essential for this role.

To succeed in this position, you should have at least 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare administration. Proficiency in using spreadsheets, CRM tools, and insurance portals is also required.
