Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced automation professional to help shape the future of test automation.

  • About This Role:
  • This role requires deep expertise in modern automation tools, industry best practices, and software testing principles.
  • You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reusable automation frameworks, focusing on Playwright for end-to-end (E2E) testing.
  • You will lead the evolution of test automation architecture, ensuring best-in-class design patterns, performance, and maintainability.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed automation into our CI/CD pipeline and DevOps strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Frameworks: Design and implement scalable, reusable automation frameworks, focusing on Playwright for E2E testing.
  • Test Automation Architecture: Lead the evolution of test automation architecture, ensuring best-in-class design patterns, performance, and maintainability.
  • Automation Standards: Define and enforce automation standards, establishing a center of excellence for test automation practices.
  • Tool Evaluation: Conduct research and evaluation of cutting-edge tools to improve automation coverage, performance, and efficiency.
  • Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in Playwright and automation best practices, mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Training: Provide training initiatives for manual QA engineers transitioning to automation roles.
  • Automated Test Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize highly efficient automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to enhance test execution strategies and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in QA automation.
  • Technical Skills: Must have experience in Selenium and Playwright. Experience in test automation tools such as Cypress, WebdriverIO, Typescript, etc. are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Must have a solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, design patterns, software testing processes, best practices, and be accustomed to Agile Development.
