Senior Financial Analyst

Conducting thorough financial, accounting and economic analyses is a key responsibility for this role.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of a team that supports business decisions with accurate and timely analysis.

About the Role

This position involves analyzing complex financial data, preparing detailed journal entries, and reconciling accounts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless reporting.

The tasks associated with this role include:

  • Quality checking processed invoices from each service owner
  • Uploading IO billing in an integrated system
  • Reviewing existing processes and recommending improvements
  • Handling general inquiries regarding financial transactions
Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting moderately complex financial, accounting and economic analyses to inform strategic decisions
  2. Assisting in the preparation of detailed journal entries by compiling, analyzing and substantiating financial transactions as needed
  3. Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  4. Supporting the month end/quarterly/year end close process and reporting
  5. Supporting the annual audit, including year-end schedule and financial statement preparation
  6. Supporting the preparation of tax and regulatory reports
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (BS in Accounting/Finance or comparable work experience)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years in related Transfer Agency field preferred; prior financial services industry experience preferred
