Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage day-to-day transactional finance processes.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finance inbox and accurately processing supplier invoices, credit cards, and employee expenses in our accounting system.
  • The individual will also be required to raise purchase orders upon request and ensure alignment with financial records.
  • A key aspect of this role is preparing weekly payment runs for review and processing.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will send sales invoices, track payment status, and follow up with debtors as needed.
  • Prior experience with financial reconciliations, particularly bank account reconciliations, is highly desirable.
  • Supporting the preparation and filing of VAT returns in compliance with UK tax standards is also an essential requirement.
  • This role involves assisting in the preparation of accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • The ideal candidate will also have experience with month-end/year-end processes and possess strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience within a finance function.
  • Experience in UK GAAP and IFRS is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with NetSuite are also beneficial.
