As a business expert, you will play a crucial role in the financial sector. You will join the Accounting Tribe within the Finance COO organisation, where we translate complex business activities into financial data and solutions.

We follow an agile way of working, with various squads defined to achieve specific goals. These are high-performing teams that are self-steering and have their own purpose. As part of an international squad, you will interact frequently with other departments in the organisation, allowing you to discuss and gain insights into specific ING portfolios.

Job Description

Within the squad 'CPRS Data & Reporting', you will have the opportunity to contribute to the innovation and standardization of the Global Finance Reporting and Data landscape.

You will drive:

  1. The change and maintenance of the Value Reporter application for client profitability
  2. The translation of business needs into solutions and technical requirements
  3. The creation of efficient data flows that fit the target architecture and data landscape
  4. The development of BI solutions through prototypes in BI tools (e.g. PowerBI)
  5. The embedding of new advanced techniques in the Finance organisation through knowledge sharing
  6. Participation in innovative projects with other data/business analysts within ING
  7. Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data
  8. The preparation of final analysis reports for stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to make informed decisions based on various facts and trends
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a team player who is enthusiastic about delivering platform solutions and expertise to finance stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly understand a complex environment and system landscape, and enjoy helping teams of skilled professionals find end-to-end solutions.

Minimum requirements:

  1. Bachelor or Master in science with necessary knowledge and analytical skills
  2. Experience with Business Intelligence tooling / SQL
  3. Experience with dimensional modelling techniques (e.g. Kimball/Star)
  4. Experience with Datawarehouse concepts (e.g. ETL, data sources, staging, DataMart's etc.)
  5. At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  6. Expertise in POWER BI
  7. Expertise in finance, management accounting and client profitability
  8. Creative ability in designing new tooling / prototyping
  9. Strong analytical skills
  10. Critical mindset with respect to delivered results
  11. Hands-on mentality with regard to data
  12. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  13. Good team player, able to contribute in a multi-cultural team
  14. Fluency in English both written and verbal
