Compliance Officer Job Description

This is a key offshore role responsible for managing compliance-related inquiries submitted by our North American workforce.

The Compliance Officer will serve as the first point of contact for employee tickets received through Salesforce or similar platforms. This individual must be sharp, solutions-driven, and stakeholder-focused, demonstrating sound judgment in asking the right questions and proactively gathering relevant information to ensure timely and accurate resolution.

We're seeking someone who can balance independence with collaboration and is comfortable navigating complex or sensitive compliance issues.

Responsibilities
  • Ticket & Case Management: Monitor and manage compliance-related tickets submitted through Salesforce; engage with employees to assess inquiries by asking clarifying questions; accurately document, track, and follow up on all compliance cases from intake to resolution.
  • Compliance Triage & Escalation: Evaluate the nature of each issue and determine the appropriate course of action; route and escalate cases to relevant departments (HR, Legal, Payroll) with documentation and context.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to validate information and seek subject-matter input; proactively reach out to other functions when clarification or guidance is needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with U.S. or Canadian compliance topics (e.g., employment classification, wage & hour rules, health & safety); strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven critical thinker with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar systems; highly organized, dependable, and discreet with sensitive information.
