Job Title: Senior Loan Specialist

About the Role:

You will play a crucial role in supporting mortgage professionals by handling loan processing from start to finish, ensuring a seamless experience for clients. Your responsibilities will include loan preparation, documentation management, and liaising with lenders and clients to drive successful outcomes.

  • Prepare and submit loan applications, and follow up with relevant parties.
  • Collect, verify, and manage required documentation from clients.
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and clients to ensure timely loan processing.
  • Track loan applications through to settlement, providing updates to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions in CRM systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client queries promptly and professionally.
  • Stay up-to-date with lender policies, products, and industry changes.
  • Support mortgage professionals with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Handle lodgements, compliance checks, pricing requests, variations, and discharges.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, while collaborating with mortgage professionals and clients as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Broker Assistant (senior level preferred), with at least 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, lender requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, loan submission platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of lender policies and the mortgage broking environment.
  • Previous experience in an Australian mortgage broking environment is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with the Connective platform and Mercury CRM is highly preferred.
