About This Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to excel as a senior bookkeeper, leveraging your expertise to drive financial operations and lead a team of junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the quality of junior bookkeepers' work and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal standards.
  • Lead accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoice preparation, approval flows, and reconciliation.
  • Mange onboarding and cleanup workflows for new client accounts, ensuring seamless integration and optimal financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and process documentation to guarantee efficiency and reliability.
  • Train and mentor junior bookkeepers, serving as an escalation point and promoting professional growth.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and meet deadlines for month-end close, demonstrating exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with team leads to execute onboarding plans and achieve business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a deep understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle bookkeeping.
  • Proven experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms, along with exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Strong leadership capability, mentoring experience, and a track record of creating or refining SOPs and efficient workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills, with proficiency in email and Slack communication.
