Accountant Role

We are seeking a skilled Trade Deductions Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Trade Promotion Management, a background or education in Accounting, and expertise in deductions, collections, reconciliations, and general trade finance.

This role involves working closely with the AR Manager to build a scalable platform that supports deductions reconciliation, identifying trends and opportunities for clients based on expense settlements. The successful candidate will also develop standard operating procedures for different tasks within the department, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to enhance the deductions process.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the AR Manager to build a scalable platform that supports deductions reconciliation.
  • Follow established procedures to determine whether an expense is authorized or unauthorized.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for different tasks within the department.
  • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance the deductions process.
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Take responsibility for department goals by accepting new duties and finding opportunities for improvement within the Customer Success – Technology Enabled Services department.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Trade Promotion Management.
  • A background or education in Accounting.
  • Deductions, collections, reconciliations and general trade finance experience is required.
  • CPG Industry experience is required.
  • Technical prowess with SaaS products preferred, including Excel, PowerPoint, G-Suite.
  • Experience working in a start-up and comfortable with change.
  • Business level English fluency required.
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with TPM software is an added bonus.
