Job Overview

The finance manager is responsible for leading financial and accounting activities. This position requires accuracy and completeness of accounting records, as well as executing the financial close process within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary partner to plant managers to drive operational performance improvement using data.
  • Develop annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts in coordination with plant managers.
  • Review manufacturing metrics, including lean KPI's and weekly manufacturing variances, and provide insight to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly reports to enhance management's understanding of results, analyze spending reports and trends, and prepare month-end flash reports and site operations review presentations.
  • Manage site working capital and collaborate with site materials managers on inventory improvement projects, reviewing and approving inventory valuation reserves.
  • Coordinate planning, validate, and track cost reduction projects at the site level.
  • Maintain strong compliance with internal controls.
  • Act as primary contact for external auditors and ensure timely compliance with external audits and reporting requirements to local governments.
  • Responsible for annual standard rates and cost setting processes.
  • Assist in preparing capital expenditure requests, including financial justifications when required.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong finance and accounting knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge of absorption cost accounting theory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAP knowledge preferred, Oracle HFM experience helpful.
  • Ability to think independently and make decisions according to responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills for guiding management decision-making processes.
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills across global time zones.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and ability to communicate financial information to financial and non-financial managers.
  • Thorough understanding of local and US GAAP principles, financial reporting standards, and accounting practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, experience in a global manufacturing environment preferred.
