Business Development Head

About the Position:

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as an Area Manager, Territory Manager, or Regional Manager, with a track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:

a. Sales

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly sales targets, analyzing performance by category, and identifying growth opportunities and weaknesses.
  1. Promotional Strategies: Formulate and execute approved promotional sales strategies in a timely manner to drive sales growth.
  2. Market Intelligence: Monitor retail development, market trends, and competition to stay ahead of the market.
  3. Customer Relationships: Establish relationships with mall administration and local government to gather information on area developments.
  4. Competitor Analysis: Drive store heads to conduct weekly competitor checks and provide regular reports on competition activity.
  5. Inventory Management: Achieve agreed-upon ratios of regular vs. sale items sold per store on a monthly basis.
  6. Team Leadership: Direct and coordinate sales organization to achieve strategic plan objectives.

b. Profitability

  • Cost Control: Cascade monthly OPEX budget and actuals, and ensure ownership and compliance among users.
  1. Budget Review: Review annual OPEX budget with Stores.
  2. Cost Minimization: Implement programs to minimize controllable costs, such as overtime, materials, etc.
  3. Variance Analysis: Discuss and review Actual OPEX monthly with users, prepare adjustments as needed, and justify results to Head of Sales.
  4. Negotiations: Negotiate rent escalations and lower rates for new stores.

c. Operational Excellence

  • Store Operations: Direct operations of stores, ensuring key areas are focused on.
  1. Action Plans: Implement action plans developed per store.
  2. Brand Image: Ensure brand image standards are followed at all times.
  3. Policy Compliance: Enforce standard policies and procedures through spot-checking and reporting.

Additional Responsibilities:

Manage inventory levels to maximize sales, assign inventory levels based on display capacity, salability, and potential, monitor deliveries, assortment, and sell-thru, manage non-moving items, consolidate stocks per area or cluster, monitor inventory requests and replenishment, and execute security measures to zero out shrinkage.

d. People Management

  • Training and Development: Coach store personnel in selling, product analysis, visual display, and delivering excellent customer experiences.
  1. Training Needs Assessment: Determine training needs of store personnel and recommend training to Head of Sales.
  2. Conduct Training: Conduct visual guidelines, merchandise facts of new arrivals, and new policies and procedures training as needed.
  3. Plantilla Handling: Guarantee proper plantilla handling.

e. Manpower Development

  • Succession Planning: Develop store heads to increase maximum potential as part of succession planning.
  1. Counseling and Coaching: Provide coaching and counseling to staff.
  2. Objective Evaluation: Conduct objective evaluations of staff.
  3. Skills Development: Develop sales and customer service skills, store visual management, inventory management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  4. Replacement Planning: Carry out replacement planning and succession planning.

f. Reports

  • Reporting: Consolidate and analyze various reports, including loyalty program membership, weekly promotional analysis, justification of monthly variance report, weekly Unit Per Transaction per store, and monthly customer experience evaluation report.
