Job Title:Hotel Laundry Attendant

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to cleanliness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laundry Operations: Operate industrial laundry machines, irons, and other cleaning equipment according to hotel standards. Sort, load, and unload laundry items, including towels, linens, bedding, and guest laundry.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Maintain an adequate stock of clean towels, linens, and other laundry items for guest rooms and public areas. Count and track linens, towels, and other items to ensure proper inventory control.
  • Guest Laundry Services: Receive, process, and ensure the timely return of guest laundry in accordance with hotel policies. Ensure proper labeling and handling of guest laundry items to avoid loss or mix-ups.
  • Quality Control: Inspect linens and laundry for stains, damage, or wear and tear. Report any damaged or worn linens and towels to management for replacement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role in a hotel or similar environment is desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of Laundry Procedures and Equipment Ability to operate industrial laundry machines, irons, and other cleaning equipment.
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records.

Others:

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is desirable but not required. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of laundry and stand for long periods of time.
