ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Technical Ecommerce Specialist at TASQ Staffing Solutions, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing complex feature enhancements for open-source software. Key responsibilities include:

  • Development Planning: Creating development approaches based on requirements and wireframes to ensure seamless execution.
  • Team Management: Leading and guiding Junior Developers in breaking down tasks and reviewing their code to ensure quality while helping them improve.
  • Output Responsibility: Ensuring the quality and timeliness of a small development team's work while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Communication: Collaborating with project managers and business analysts to clarify user stories and maintain proper documentation in JIRA for efficient project management.
  • Configuration Maximization: Utilizing software features to minimize the need for custom development and optimize system performance.
  • Solution Creation: Developing features and modules as per client specifications and creating reusable code libraries to enhance productivity.
  • Security Maintenance: Ensuring personal equipment is free from security issues to prevent potential data breaches.
  • Team Participation: Actively contributing to team meetings and suggesting improvements to enhance team collaboration and performance.
  • Collaboration: Working with team members on large projects to maintain a consistent approach and deliver high-quality results.
  • Time Management: Accurately recording time spent on tasks for billing purposes and maintaining transparent communication with clients.
  • Documentation: Writing clear code documentation to ensure comprehensibility for other developers, adhering to Clean Code practices and maintaining a well-organized codebase.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: College Graduate with a strong foundation in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of programming experience with a focus on ecommerce development.
    • At least 3 years of recent experience with Magento 2, with a strong understanding of its architecture and features.
  • Technical Skills:
    1. Mastery of object-oriented programming in PHP, with a focus on ecommerce development.
    2. Proficient in HTML DOM, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of their applications in ecommerce development.
    3. Strong understanding of ecommerce concepts, including payment systems, shipping, and catalog structure.
    4. Mastery of REST APIs and Git, including code repositories, to ensure seamless collaboration and code management.
    5. Good understanding of compiled CSS, with a focus on optimizing performance and user experience.
  • Communication: Effective written and spoken English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility: Willing to work night shifts and a hybrid schedule (2-4 times per month) in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
