Key roles and responsibilities of a Senior Learning Experience Designer with Tech Experience include leading instructional design strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting robust learning needs analysis, and determining required skills and competency levels for learners/participants.

Program Management
  • The role involves keeping track and reporting learning initiative results up to 90 days after implementation.
Learning Experience Design
  • Senior LX Designers will provide thought leadership in the application of instructional design methodologies, focusing on scoping, analysis, design, and evaluation.
  • This includes identifying training objectives and performance targets, defining and designing effective learning strategies, evaluating content developed by the team, and reviewing analysis and design documents to ensure objectives target learning needs.
  • They must also evaluate the effectiveness of learning materials from an instructional design standpoint, review evaluation strategies to ensure they cover all learning objectives, and post-implementation gather relevant data to evaluate effectiveness using Kirkpatrick's model.
Project Management
  • The position requires creating, tracking, and maintaining project plans, managing projects by working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and project team members, effectively communicating progress and risks.
Measurable Success
  • The performance of learning programs deployed (reaction, performance, etc), on-time delivery of projects managed, and feedback from key stakeholders are essential metrics for success.
Other Responsibilities
  • Senior LX Designers will provide instructional design services to key functions, address performance gaps in production through Operations Management, Quality, and Performance Support Training (PST), collaborate with Multimedia, Content, and LMS Administration work streams and PST Teams, analyze learning needs, conduct audience, context, content, and performance analyses, gather data with project members and other departments, determine training objectives and performance targets, identify best deployment methods, and develop advanced instructional media including guided tool simulations, interactive lessons and assessments, motion graphics, and game-based courses.
