As a forward-thinking and dynamic leader, we're seeking a driven and ambitious Finance Director to head up our finance team. This role would suit a commercially minded and astute financial leader who enjoys taking a proactive role in a fast-paced growth company.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in financial software and databases, as well as experience working with financial forecasting software. They will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the finance function, developing strong business planning, financial control and reporting to maximise efficiencies and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the finance team to deliver accurate and regular management information
  • Develop and lead the evolution of financial reporting processes and business systems
  • Support the MD and the company in budgetary planning and forecasting processes
  • Ensure all financial accounting and administration functions are performed properly
  • Produce and interpret management accounts
  • Ensure year end audit is performed properly
  • Generate and maintain group cash flow and budgeting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with tax and statutory matters
  • Financial planning (forecasting and budgeting)
  • Reporting of budget variances and cost control
  • Training & mentoring

Requirements:

  • An accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA)
  • 5-7 years post-qualification experience in a financial management role (Financial Manager or FD)
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and databases
  • Experience working with financial forecasting software a strong advantage
