About Our Senior Accounting Role

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Bookkeeper to lead our financial operations team. As a senior member, you will oversee onboarding and cleanup projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure that our financial processes remain efficient and reliable.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review and ensure the quality of junior bookkeeper outputs.
  • Lead AP and AR processes: invoice preparation, approval flows, reconciliation.
  • Manage onboarding and cleanup workflows for new client accounts.
  • Maintain and enhance SOPs, checklists, and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal standards.
  • Train and coach junior bookkeepers, serving as escalation contact.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and meet all deadlines for month-end close.
  • Execute onboarding plans collaboratively with the pod leader.
  • Communicate proficiently via email and Slack using alias accounts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Strong leadership capability and mentoring experience.
  • Track record of creating or refining SOPs and efficient workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
