Financial Record Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Accounting Specialist to manage financial records, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for real estate properties
- Utilize Appfolio software for financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports
- Conduct regular financial closing processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper recording of transactions
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of real estate assets
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders to provide valuable financial insights and support
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting
- Proficiency in Appfolio software and other accounting tools
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
- Experience with tax preparation and compliance
- Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
