As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support. This remote position involves providing top-notch customer service to patients over the phone, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate patient records within a leading healthcare technology platform.
Responsibilities:- Ensure timely and compassionate interactions with callers, addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
- Schedule primary care appointments for annual exams, chronic care follow-ups, acute visits, and preventive screenings.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, including co-pays, deductibles, and network status.
- Accurately maintain and update patient records in a digital health record system.
- Assist patients with portal setup and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding test results, referrals, and follow-up instructions in alignment with practice policies.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine or internal medicine.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems, including scheduling, documentation, and patient communication features.
- Strong knowledge of primary care visit types, referral processes, and insurance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
