Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Health Ambassador will oversee and facilitate high-quality medical care and logistics for client employees, dependents, guests, and other identified individuals across events in the designated hospital or medical facility.
This position ensures seamless navigation of medical systems, provides admissions and discharge support, and acts as a direct liaison between patients, medical facilities, and International SOS Assistance Centers. The role also requires a high level of customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism in safeguarding patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Medical Case Support & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all medical, health, and well-being-related needs for patients.
- Facilitate navigation of medical infrastructure, specialist clinics, assist in hospital registrations, and provide medical translation services.
- Support outpatient and inpatient care by accompanying patients, obtaining prescriptions, and ensuring smooth hospital and specialist processes and access.
- Ensure effective case management through coordination with Assistance Centers, including:
- Notifying the Assistance Centers of medical cases involving International SOS members at medical facility.
- Assisting with appointments, hospital visits, medical payments, and documentation.
- Serving as an advocate for patient needs regarding comfort, safety, and general well-being.
- Provide ongoing updates to Assistance Centers on patient conditions, including treatment plans, hospitalization status, and medication prescribed.
- Offer medical assistance during patient visits to the medical facility, including bedside visits and patient advocacy.
Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols concerning patient information.
- Follow International SOS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and document activities accordingly.
- Report any service dissatisfaction or case management issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional representation of International SOS in all interactions.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Prepare and attend daily briefings and meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Assist with administrative tasks, data reporting, and service evaluations as required.
On-Call & Availability
- Be on standby and reachable 24/7, including weekends and holidays, to address medical support needs.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make quick patient-focused decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Required Competencies
- Fluency in English, and Tagalog.
- Familiarity with the designated medical facility.
- Able to troubleshoot patient and specialist feedback and complaints
- Function in a high-pressure and dynamic environment.
- Ability to accept on-call responsibilities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in translation, customer service, or medical advocacy.
- Exposure to International clientele preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
Travel & Rotation Requirements
- Limited travel required, mainly within Metro Manila.
