Job Overview

This role involves managing credit extension and collection for a specific portfolio of customers. The incumbent will work under the direction of the area manager to ensure accurate and timely management of credit practices within the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of credit extension and collection for assigned customer portfolios.
  • Determine the reason for overdue payments by reviewing sales, service, or credit contract terms with customers.
  • Research payment issues involving disputed deliveries, returns, and credits that may result in delinquent balances.
  • Resolve issues promptly to prevent further aging of delinquent balances and identify accounts at risk with the manager's assistance.
  • Document customer financial status and collection efforts, including maintaining records of account interactions.
  • Keep sales representatives informed about account status and problems.
  • Answer incoming calls, provide invoices, sort correspondence, and maintain communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain process orientation and knowledge of collection processes and scenarios.
  • Assess risks and take necessary actions to maintain a good portfolio shape.
