Remote Safety Officer 2 Position

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Safety Officer 2 to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our remote workforce.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety and health, with experience in implementing and managing remote work safety programs. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures related to remote work safety, as well as conducting virtual ergonomic risk assessments and providing guidance on setting up safe remote workstations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement remote work safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct virtual ergonomic risk assessments and provide guidance on setting up safe remote workstations.
  • Organize online safety awareness campaigns, training sessions, and wellness initiatives.
  • Investigate and document remote work incidents or hazards, recommending mitigation measures.
  • Develop and review business continuity plans and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Lead virtual business continuity drills and scenario planning.
  • Communicate BCP procedures effectively to all remote employees.
  • Serve as the lead for emergency preparedness and response.
  • Promote mental health awareness and wellness programs targeting remote employees.
  • Collaborate with IT to promote cybersecurity best practices and safe data handling among remote employees.
  • Foster a safety and well-being culture through virtual initiatives, challenges, and recognition programs.
  • Regularly gather feedback from remote employees on safety concerns and program effectiveness.
  • Draft, update, and communicate safety policies and guidelines tailored for remote work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Certified Safety Officer 2 with completed 40-hour BOSH training from a DOLE accredited provider.
  • Preferably certified in First Aid and Basic Life Support.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in remote work environments or BPO/IT sectors.
  • Knowledge of OSH standards, cyber security basics, BCP, and remote ergonomics.
  • Strong communication, policy documentation, virtual facilitation, and engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively across teams.
