Job Overview

The successful applicant will work closely with adults subject to community orders, focusing on safety, risk assessment, and rehabilitation. They will also operate in accordance with assessed risk and need, maintaining high standards of assessment to support effective supervision.

A key aspect of this role is facilitating reintegration and improving rehabilitation outcomes for individuals under community-based orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management services to adults subject to community orders.
  • Operate within established guidelines and protocols to ensure high-quality assessment and supervision practices.
  • Work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organizations to address Indigenous over-representation in the criminal justice system.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid driver's license (minimum C class Australian license) is mandatory due to travel requirements.
  • May be required to work outside standard hours or travel to other locations temporarily.
  • Permanent or temporary employees will need to complete Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) within 18 months of commencing employment.
Additional Information
  • The successful candidate may be eligible for relocation expenses according to the Transfer and Appointment Expenses Directive.
  • Allowances will apply where applicable as negotiated in accordance with the Domestic Travelling and Relieving Expenses Directive.
  • Applications remain current for 12 months.
