Job Opportunity: Medical Scribe in Home Health

The role of a Medical Scribe is to provide support to healthcare professionals by accurately documenting patient information. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in home health workflows and strong EMR skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-charting comprehensive home health assessments in MatrixCare EMR.
  • Post-charting by accurately documenting clinical notes and required details.
  • Ensuring that documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with nurses to support the review and finalization of patient records.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient health information in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Staying up-to-date with home health documentation requirements and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role.
    • Prior experience in home health documentation required.
    • Hands-on proficiency with MatrixCare EMR strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of home health processes, including OASIS and care planning.
  • Excellent written communication and data entry skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in medical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
