Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our shared services center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance operations, process migration methodologies, and change management principles.

The successful applicant will lead a team of professionals responsible for various financial functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and reporting. They will also collaborate with the corporate finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies, audit standards, and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement overall strategies for the SSC, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Design, plan, and execute process transitions from global business units to the SSC, maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Establish a strong foundation or scale existing operations by recruiting top talent, setting up systems, and developing infrastructure.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of finance functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the corporate finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies, audit standards, and tax regulations.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a shared services or global business services environment.
  • Proven experience in establishing or scaling SSC operations in start-up or transformation contexts.
  • Strong background in finance operations and knowledge of shipping/maritime logistics processes.
  • Understanding of process migration methodologies and change management principles.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
