Job Title: External Application Support Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a External Application Support Analyst. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical support to our business operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of applications and services, ensuring seamless delivery and minimal disruption to our customers. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage business-critical real-time trading systems, middle office systems, back office, and settlement systems, identifying potential issues and problem areas.
  • Collaborate with internal IT support functions, infrastructure, development, quality assurance, operations, and external third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents.
  • Actively identify incidents and manage the incident resolution process, providing service recovery while managing client communications and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies (change management, IT security standards, release management, incident management).
  • Work closely with all parties to provide services that meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation for all systems and processes.
  • Provide input on technology strategy and contribute to the improvement of our IT infrastructure.

Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of electronic trading systems, middle office applications, and back office/settlement systems (MQ, TEO, LISA, Exchange technology, RIMS, SWIFT, CREST, EASYWAY, DTCC, EQUIAS, Trayport, Trading Technologies, Alteryx, LANE).
  • Knowledge and experience of database interrogation and manipulation.
  • Good understanding of the Trade Life Cycle (STP).
  • Risk Knowledge/P&L Experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Windows Server/Client).
  • Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX.
  • Good understanding of the FIX Protocol.
  • Knowledge of compliance controls and exchange regulatory obligations.
  • Understanding of Equities, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, and Fixed Income markets.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow.
