Join a team that ensures regulatory compliance and prevents financial crime risks by supporting anti-money laundering, economic sanctions, fraud, and bribery/corruption investigation. Formulate policies and frameworks, and provide professional advice to the business.
The Risk and Governance Team contributes to implementing and overseeing Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), and Economic Sanctions policy and governance frameworks. The FCC Sr Team Lead for Risk and Governance will enhance advisory and monitoring processes, interact with partners on regulatory topics, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for UK AML/CTF/ES matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the central compliance function to understand the impact of Financial Crime regulatory developments.
- Advise business partners on compliance programs and applicable laws, regulations, rules, and standards.
- Establish written guidance on AML/CTF/ES implementation through policies and procedures.
- Identify significant AML/CTF/ES risk situations and guide management in developing policies and procedures.
- Assist in updating, reviewing, and implementing changes to the FCC program.
- Perform risk assessments and impact or gap analyses.
- Support Quality Control/Testing Teams and provide ad-hoc project assistance.
- Lead and manage employees, providing guidance and support.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of bank compliance regulations.
- Analytical ability to identify and understand compliance issues.
- Attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Desirable Qualifications
- 4-6 years of compliance, risk management, quality assurance, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of managerial experience with direct reports.
- Bachelor's degree required; relevant certifications or advanced degrees are beneficial.
