MediCard is seeking assertive, dynamic, and energetic individuals to fill the following vacancy:

Position: Patient Care Assistant (or similar role)

Expected to perform duties such as assisting doctors and nurses, providing quality care to patients, and supporting clinic operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Assist and serve patients effectively.
  2. Take vital signs and conduct initial patient histories.
  3. Inspect consultation rooms daily for availability of supplies like cotton, alcohol, and OB-Gyne speculums.
  4. Ensure cleanliness of consultation rooms, including linens.
  5. Monitor and maintain sufficient inventory of supplies.
  6. Coordinate with other departments for endorsements and verifications.
  7. Issue approvals for diagnostic requests based on guidelines prior to service.
  8. Maintain and update patient medical records.
  9. Prepare and submit reports and doctor's procedure fees timely.
  10. Work overtime as needed, including non-working days, due to workload.
  11. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of BS Nursing or related medical allied courses.
  • Preferably with 6 months healthcare experience, or a BS Nursing graduate.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; initiative; organized; service-oriented.
